AccessibilityPAGE-VERIFIED (Guide for Safety and Accessibility, Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure, effective Oct. 4, 2025, opened in this pass): 'We have constructed our queues to be accessible to Guests using wheelchairs (with the exception of Pteranodon Flyers at Universal Islands of Adventure).' Universal Orlando has developed an Attractions Assistance Pass for Guests whose disability prevents them from waiting for extended periods in a conventional attraction queue environment; it is designed to provide equal access and not to bypass other Guests waiting in the queue. Guests requesting an attraction queue accommodation may obtain the IBCCES Individual Accessibility Card (IAC) by registering at accessibilitycard.org within 30 days of their visit and at least 48 hours before their visit; registration includes uploading necessary documentation and IBCCES does not require disclosure of a medical or psychological diagnosis or condition. An IAC does not guarantee an Attractions Assistance Pass - Universal determines the appropriate accommodation - and Universal does not issue the IAC, only IBCCES can. Guests unable to register in advance may contact Guest Services at (407) 224-4233 or visit a Guest Services location. All shopping and dining facilities are wheelchair accessible; stage shows and parade offerings have reserved 'Accessible Viewing' areas marked with the International Symbol of Accessibility. Limited wheelchairs and ECVs rent first-come, first-served at both theme park entrances (deposit plus daily fee for wheelchairs); ECVs are rented just inside the main entrance turnstiles at the stroller rental facility. With the exception of Hogwarts Express, none of the ride vehicles or attraction queues will accommodate ECVs; at rides that can accommodate standard wheelchairs, Guests may transfer from an ECV into a standard wheelchair provided at each location. Attractions Attendants are not trained in lifting or carrying and cannot provide physical assistance - Guests with disabilities are suggested to bring a companion who can. Hearing: open captioning is available on queue monitors at listed attractions (see guide); American Sign Language interpreting for select in-park live action shows may be requested at no charge with a minimum of 14 days advance notice to [email protected]. Accessible parking: Guests entering the Toll Plaza with an Accessible Parking Permit will be directed to accessible parking spots.
Sensory notesPAGE-VERIFIED (same guide, opened in this pass): The guide's attraction symbol system flags, per attraction, medical sensitivity to strobe effects, medical sensitivity to fog effects, susceptibility to motion sickness or dizziness, fear of heights, fear of enclosed spaces, and parental discretion recommended due to mature themes, frightening images, and/or intense sound effects which may include pyrotechnics and gunfire. Warning Signs at the entrance of each attraction use these symbols to help Guests determine suitability. The guide does not publish a separate sensory rating/guide per attraction in the sections opened - per-attraction detail is in its attraction listings and Warning Signs.
Family facilitiesPAGE-VERIFIED (same guide, opened in this pass): Universal Orlando Resort provides family restrooms - refer to the mobile app for current locations. All restrooms within both theme parks and CityWalk have facilities accessible for Guests using wheelchairs. Nursing facilities are located at the First Aid facilities. First Aid is staffed with registered nurses and professional paramedics; in Universal Islands of Adventure the primary First Aid Station is in The Lost Continent with a satellite at Guest Services in Port of Entry, and in Universal Studios Florida First Aid is in New York next to Louie's Italian Restaurant with a satellite at the front of the park next to Lost and Found.
